You might have seen a child's handwriting engraved into a charm; it is very touching way to remember moments of your child's life. This 14K Number Seven Pave Charm takes that idea to a whole new level.
A Mother reached out to us with a small drawing of a necklace her son had dreamed up, but she had not exactly decided on how she wanted to look in real life. We proposed a rough concept, and she gave us poetic license to create something amazing. Created in 14k yellow gold, we layered two separate outlines to match the contours of the original drawing exactly. This process gave the charm depth, as opposed to a single layered flat piece. After soldering the two layers together, we set blue and purple sapphires to recreate the coloring her son did in the center of the charm. Our charm was finished in bright satin and hung from 14K gold cable chain. The customer had no idea what the final piece was going to look like, putting absolute faith in our ability to make her child's drawing into a fine piece of custom jewelry. Shortly after it arrived, she called us to let us know that we had exceed her expectations by a mile ;-)
